Minor Hotels is a global group operating 530 hotels and resorts located in 56 countries. The Minor Hotels group was founded in 1978 by William Heinicke, and today the company's portfolio includes such regional hotel brands as Anantara, Avani, Oaks, Tivoli, NH Collection, NH, nhow, Elewana, as well as a number of others.
The Minor Hotels group continues its expansion in the Middle East, with properties under construction in the UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. 2024 starts with the opening of two hotels in the UAE. Anantara Santorini Abu Dhabi Retreat is located in Ghantoot, a nature reserve between Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Low-rise white houses with 22 suites, spacious sun-drenched terraces and interiors in neutral shades are reminiscent of the Aegean coast. Rooms in the boutique hotel are available for exclusive use. Anantara Mina Al Arab Hotel is located on the Arabian Gulf coast on Mina Al Arab Island in Ras Al Khaimah. The resort is surrounded by a nature reserve with mangroves and lagoons, and its western side overlooks the majestic Al Hajar Mountains. The resort features 174 rooms, suites and villas with balconies or terraces, including the emirate's first overwater villas with a private pool.
Minor Hotels, which owns and operates more than 530 hotels and resorts in 56 countries, announced the participation in the NEOM project at the year-round ski resort Trojena in Saudi Arabia, where a new Anantara Trojena Resort is scheduled to open in 2026. Trojena is located in the heart of the NEOM project, 50 km from the coast of the Gulf of Aqaba, at an altitude of 2600 meters above sea level. Trojena will be the first open ski resort in the Arabian Gulf region, where a complete infrastructure will be created with slopes and entertainment areas for cultural and concert events, festivals, and art exhibitions. The new 270-room Anantara resort will appear in the Water Village, in the Valley cluster. The "Valley" is one of the most impressive areas of the Trojena resort, with three development projects and a 2.8 km long artificial freshwater lake.
The Avani Hotels & Resorts group (under the portfolio of the Minor Hotels group) continues to expand own collection in Europe and has announced the debut in Germany with the opening of the Avani Frankfurt City hotel in Frankfurt am Main.
