The much-anticipated SL-MICE Expo 2025, organized by the Sri Lanka Convention Bureau (SLCB)—the national tourism organization under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment, and Tourism—will be held in Colombo from 22–26 September 2025. As a premier event, it aims to strengthen Sri Lanka’s profile on the global MICE map by providing a unique platform for local and international stakeholders to showcase their products, services, and innovations. The Expo will serve as a dynamic marketplace for business growth, networking, and collaboration among MICE professionals worldwide.
Interest in this year’s edition has been remarkable, with the Bureau receiving over 500 applications from international MICE and travel agents, as well as media representatives, covering more than 45 countries. From these, 100 foreign agents and 15 media representatives from 30 countries have been selected to participate.
On the local front, SLCB is currently receiving nominations from Sri Lanka’s travel and tourism industry to register as vendors for this flagship event. Already, 110+ local vendors have signed up to connect with visiting international MICE and travel agents, creating opportunities to network, showcase, and expand their reach on a global scale.
Mr. Dheera Hettiarachchi, Chairman of SLCB, highlighted that the SL-MICE Expo stands as Sri Lanka’s premier MICE tourism event, uniquely uniting global and local industry stakeholders under one roof. He emphasized that the Expo is more than an event—it is a catalyst for partnerships, a driver of economic growth, and a platform that showcases Sri Lanka’s potential as a world-class MICE destination.
Highlights of SL-MICE Expo 2025 includes a five-day immersive program featuring a dynamic business forum, welcome dinner, opening plenary, tailored B2B meetings, a themed gala dinner combining world-class networking opportunities with bleisure experiences, exclusive familiarization tours to Kandy and Nuwara Eliya, showcasing Sri Lanka’s rich cultural and natural heritage.
Since its inception in 2021, SLCB has proudly hosted four successful editions of the MICE Expo, establishing it as a cornerstone event in Sri Lanka’s Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions calendar.
