The multi-day event is designed to position Sri Lanka as a premier destination for Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE).
With more than 115 hosted international MICE and travel operators, alongside media representatives from 30 countries, the Expo aims to strengthen Sri Lanka’s standing on the global MICE map. Hon. Harini Amarasuriya, Prime Minister of Sri Lanka, inaugurated the event. Proceedings began with a Business Forum and Welcome Reception at Cinnamon Grand Colombo on 22 September, followed by the official Opening Ceremony and B2B sessions at Cinnamon Life, City of Dreams, and a Gala Dinner at The Marquee at Port City on 23 September. The MICE Business Forum featured a high-level panel discussion on “The Future of Sri Lanka MICE Tourism in a Changing World”, while the B2B sessions are expected to host more than 10,000 meetings, bringing together 110+ local vendors with international buyers.
In addition, a post-event familiarization tour organized by the Sri Lanka Convention Bureau will give hosted buyers the opportunity to explore the central region of Sri Lanka.
