This unusual famtrip offered participants the “best of the best”: the most striking locations, the most iconic hotels, the most spectacular ballrooms, the most delicious restaurants – and all this in the company of MICE&more founder Lina Moskvina, a renowned expert in the premium segment. To this magical world of Dubai, the Community MICE&more group was invited by the professionals at Desert Gate Tourism DMC.
Desert Gate DMC was founded in 2004. The emirates of Dubai and Ras Al Khaimah were the first to appear on its map. Next were Oman, Maldives, Qatar and Mauritius. Then, the Emirate of Abu Dhabi was added. And in 2025, Desert Gate DMC opened its representative office in Sri Lanka. However, the UAE and Dubai, in particular, were, are and will remain their strongest destinations, as we had the happy opportunity to see for ourselves during the magical famtrip.
The luxury-trip program included the hotels Delano, Banyan Tree, Marriott Resort Palm Jumeirah, W The Palm, Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab and Jumeirah Beach Hotel, as well as the new Atlantis The Royal, which opened in 2023. The participants climbed to the Sky Views Dubai observation deck at the Address Sky View hotel and bravely walked along the glass slide at an altitude of 220 m. They took an exclusive tour in the Museum of the Future, and immersed themselves in the world of shopping at the Dubai Mall. The tour concluded with a breathtaking desert safari and a sumptuous barbecue dinner at Desert Gate’s private campsite.
Review by Lina Moskvina, CEO of MICE&more:
“We well know the United Arab Emirates in general and Dubai in particular – we associate it with premium holidays, but Desert Gate managed not only to meet our expectations, but also to dramatically surpass them by organizing an impeccable luxury tour as a host also focused on MICE.
This was expressed in absolutely everything, starting with the welcome for trip participants at the airport. We were greeted with fresh flowers, which was a lovely touch. From that point on, the group was continuously showered with exquisite amenities and gifts. Top-tier service was provided at every point on our program, including the brand-new company cars that ferried us to Camp Desert Gate, which only served to underscore its status and uniqueness.
I was particularly impressed by the heightened attention paid by the team that escorted us throughout the trip: they actively engaged with us, talking about their backgrounds and sharing their experiences. All of it combined to create the sense of a thoroughly luxurious famtrip.
We very much appreciated that the five-day trip afforded us the opportunity to get to know a number of hotels in detail, including their event venues and gastronomic component.
I would also like to mention Atlantis The Royal, which has already been ranked by MICE&more International as the best event hotel, as well as the Ariana’s Persian Kitchen restaurant, which we highlighted in the magazine’s “Best Gastronomic Experience” column. I was here last year, and now I’m pleased to continue my acquaintance, which has only grown deeper. This time, our group was treated to dinner at the Peruvian restaurant La Mar Dubai by chef Gastón Acurio.
An interesting experience was visiting the panoramic Address Sky View tower, which offers the best view of the Burj Khalifa. This is a great location for taking spectacular shots and contemplating all of downtown Dubai – I recommend it.
Everyone was very impressed by our visit to the Museum of the Future – it’s modern, technologically advanced and interactive. The highlight was getting a look at the museum’s event facilities on the top floor, which expanded our perception of the location.
At the end of the trip we visited the Desert Camp, where we were greeted by the host company’s team. We remembered that evening for the spectacular show with its national flavor, the wonderful dinner and the warm, welcoming atmosphere.
It was with these feelings that we departed for Moscow. We will definitely return with new projects, new ideas and requests – not only to Dubai, but also to all of the other countries where Desert Gate is represented.
