Atlantis The Royal, Dubai — the concept of water in all its forms

Many people have already known that the Atlantis The Royal resort (near the legendary Atlantis, The Palm) has become a new attraction in Dubai. It opened its doors in 2023. There are 795 rooms including 44 suites and penthouses with private terraces, the Pool Club on the 22nd floor with pools at 90 meters above the ground, as well as many restaurants and bars run by famous chefs.

We visited the hotel in the individual inspection format as part of a press tour organized by Visit Dubai. Our impression is as follows: in terms of a unique combination of architecture, design, and technology, it is the apogee of the hospitality industry which is embodied in an absolutely incredible form. We were amazed by the hotel appearance. There is so much lightness and dynamics in this multi-level building! It seems to contrast itself to the traditional concept of “iconic towers,” for which Dubai is famous, although it’s also a tower of over 40 floors. Futuristic architecture, sea views and themes of the Atlantis brand itself have become a source of inspiration for creating fountains and unusual water elements. At the entrance to the lobby, the original 11.5 meter-high steel installation “Droplets” attracts attention reflecting the idea of the first drop of rain in an arid desert; then, the huge aquariums that beckon to the underwater world are impressive, and the cascade of fountains along the central line of the resort leads to a bright culmination — the Skyblaze fountain, the first one in the Middle East to combine the elements of water and fire!
