Gastronomic tour ACROSS THE Qatar at Jiwan Restaurant

Next Previous •

Jiwan is a Qatari word meaning “a perfect pearl” — pinkish-white and absolutely round, with a shining luster. The Michelin-starred Jiwan Restaurant primarily impresses with its design. Its interiors designed by Koichi Takada Architects are inspired by Qatar's rich pearl mining history. The calm color palette refers to the tones of the desert and the sea. The ceiling is decorated with more than four million crystal beads in the form of pearls, which gently sway, and this makes guests feel as if underwater. The Jiwan Terrace offers panoramic views of the city and the West Bay which is especially impressive during sunset.

Jiwan is located on the fourth floor of the famous National Museum of Qatar (NMoQ). This is Alain Ducasse's second restaurant opened in Qatar. The MICE&more group visited it in the process of exploring Doha. The food on the menu is based on traditions, but it has been reinterpreted for the modern audience, which is typical for Qatar. Common dishes, like in a family, are located in the center of the table. Local products are interestingly presented in the tasting sets. The restaurant is led by a team of renowned French chefs and pastry chefs who have enthusiastically immersed themselves in the secrets of Arabic cuisine and created an exciting gastronomic concept that takes guests on a sensual journey through the rich heritage of the Middle East.

The main hall can accommodate up to

130 guests, the terrace can accommodate up to 140 guests, and in cocktail format — up to 200. Afternoon tea is served every day at Jiwan to enchant you with a meze of desserts combined with Moroccan tea. We recommend combining a visit to the restaurant with a guided tour of the Qatar National Museum. Also keep in mind that the museum has a well-equipped conference room. For events, Jiwan offers packages with both an individual menu and exclusive use of the restaurant for a full day or half a day.

Jiwan Restaurant is owned by IN-Q Enterprises WILL (IN-Q). It is actively involved in development of Qatar's museums by nurturing creative talents and creating commercial opportunities for young artists, designers, and entrepreneurs.
